It's simple: you refer someone to us, and if their solar project gets a county permit, you earn $500 cash or account credit. Just fill out the referral form with their info, and we take it from there. You can track the status of your referrals anytime through the My Referrals dashboard.
Rewards are paid within 10 business days of the referred project receiving county permit approval. You choose whether you want cash or account credit. We'll reach out to you directly to arrange payment.
A referral is considered "permitted" when the solar system we install for that person receives its official county building permit. This is a concrete milestone that confirms the project is approved and moving forward. The minimum system size is 10 kW to qualify for a reward.
When your 3rd referral reaches the permitted stage, you earn the standard $500 plus a $1,500 Legacy bonus — that's $2,000 total on your third permit. Your referral count never resets, so you're always building toward Legacy. After hitting Legacy, every additional referral continues to earn $500.
We install solar on a variety of property types including farms, rural businesses, residential homes, churches, and nonprofits. However, available incentives differ significantly by property type. The federal 30% Investment Tax Credit and USDA REAP grants are generally available to farms and rural businesses. Residential, nonprofit, and other property types may have different incentive structures. We evaluate each property individually.
No! Anyone can refer someone to us. You don't need to have a solar system installed or be a current customer. If you know someone who could benefit from solar energy, send them our way and you'll earn the reward if their project gets permitted.
No cap, no limit. Refer as many people as you want. Every permitted referral earns $500, and your count always builds toward the Legacy bonus. There's no expiration on your referral history.
